Set on a first class region of Kassiopi, Villa Loukas is a new villa built on an elevated position with fantastic panoramic views out over Kassiopi, Imerolia, the green hill slopes and the colourful Ionian Sea. The villa is noted for its excellent modern style engaged to the traditional Corfiot architecture. In this place, there was an original stone house, paternal legacy of the owners, which was demolished and each original piece of old stone has been "recycled and utilized", giving the house a wonderful feeling of history. The great advantage of the villa is its close proximity to Kassiopi, this makes it ideal for couples, in the low season. Couples enjoy "quality time", with a small child with scenic walks and admiring the natural beauty of the area (beautiful wild flowers in May), reading and chilling out. In the high season, the families with teenagers can enjoy a quiet night at home whilst their children can walk safely into the village and creep back in the early hours without disturbing their parents. It is possible to manage without a car although, it is always recommended in order to explore the island. A boat is also recommended as a very enjoyable way of seeing the stunning coastline and enjoying a secluded swim at one of the many beautiful bays, or relaxing over a long lunch at one of the many tavernas on the coast. Dishwasher Parking Welcome Hamper Beach 200 m Fishing / Snorkelling Cleaning The large "L" shaped living room incorporates a well-equipped open-plan kitchen and is incredibly sunny, with four large French doors leading onto covered terraces, with both country and sea views. A beautiful fireplace dominates the room, with an open fire giving the house a cosy evening atmosphere in the early and late season, when the nights can be cooler. In the summer months, a choice of paddle fans or air-conditioning provides a welcome contrast to the heat of the day. With en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms and a separate guest WC, every possible comfort has been thought of. First Floor: The Master Bedroom has a double bed, en-suite with bathtub. The second bedroom has twin beds, en-suite with shower. Both bedrooms’ doors lead out to the balcony area. Outdoor Extensive all round terraces bathed in sunshine all day long, ensure a mixture of country views, over olive groves and up to the hills behind, to panoramic views over Kassiopi to the sea and coastline. On the same level of the villa, there is a pleasant barbeque and a comfortable outdoor dining area for al fresco meals. Villa Loukas enjoys a lovely full size private pool with an attractive furnished area, exuding serenity and relaxation. The day of arrival is either Monday or Friday. Bookings can be made only for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc. Blue Bay Travel is located at Kalami village. We will provide you with instructions for your arrival. The village of Kassiopi lies 38 kilometres north of Corfu Town, opposite the Albanian coastline. This little picturesque fishing village has a population of approximately 1200 inhabitants. There are important ancient relics. In ancient times, there used to be a prehistoric settlement and a Corinthian city located here. The church in Kassiopi village is built on top of a temple, which was named Jupiter Cassius, the namesake of Kassiopi. In the 13th Century, the fortification of the headland above the harbour resulted in a castle being built by the Angevin rulers of Corfu (1267-1836), which was considered one of the strongest castles of the Corfu countryside. The Venetians then destroyed the fortress and built their own and the ruins of this Venetian fortress can be seen today encircling the hillside, where it is supposed that the Emperor Nero stopped once. Kassiopi is the biggest village in the northeastern Corfu and the homonymous municipality of the area. The village has been developed to a very popular tourist resort, a pretty trendy place with many bars, tavernas, restaurants with particularly fresh fish thanks to fishermen, gift shops, supermarkets and A.T.M. machines. Being a lively resort, it is for those who are looking for a bit of life. This part of the typical Greek daytime resort turns into a trendy music center after dark. Teenagers, families, young couples and groups of friends who want life but also to enjoy the beauty of the North EastKassiopi has a little of everything. Most of the beaches in Kassiopi are pebbly, small and hidden away around the headland in stunning secluded spots. There are two larger beaches further north - Kalamionas and Imerolia offering various watersports on offer.
